The Sun Will Rise Again
This series of photographs recounts the experience of self isolation over the course of 10 days after contracting Covid-19.
The early stages of the experience are represented with photographs that showcase the progress of a familiar space that menacingly grows foreign over time. Battling the physical symptoms of the virus, the black and white images expose the struggle with the inner self against the absence of social contact, with increasing loneliness.
Like the song, encouraging the importance of optimism during times of despair, that this series’ title shares, through the transition of colour, it is in the final moments where a promising recovery is revealed.
